Firms change their rules, add programs and run promotions. Always check the firm's own website before you buy a challenge. TradeLog is not affiliated with any of these firms, and this table is not a recommendation.

How to read the table

  • Profit target: "10% / 5%" means 10% in phase 1 and 5% in phase 2. A single number is a one-phase evaluation; a dash means there is no evaluation (instant funding).
  • Daily loss: the most you can lose in one day, usually counted from the balance or equity at the daily reset, with floating losses included.
  • Max loss: static means the floor is fixed below your starting balance; trailing means it follows your peak and usually stops at the starting balance. See Drawdown rules explained for worked examples.
  • Min. days: the number of trading days (or profitable days) required before you can pass a phase.

1-step or 2-step?

One-step programs ask for a single, larger target but usually come with a tighter daily limit (often 3%) and a smaller or trailing max loss. Two-step programs split the target across two phases and usually allow 5% daily and 10% static max loss. Wider limits leave more room for normal losing streaks; a single phase gets you funded sooner. Which suits you depends on your average loss streak and how your equity curve behaves, which is exactly what a journal shows.

What the table doesn't show

  • Consistency rules and best-day rules (for example, FTMO 1-Step's best day can't exceed 50% of total positive-day profit).
  • Restrictions on news trading, holding over the weekend, EAs and copy trading.
  • Leverage, instruments, profit split, payout schedule, fees and refunds.
  • Funded-stage differences: some programs change the daily limit or add a pause rule once you are funded.

Set up your account in TradeLog

When you add a prop account in TradeLog, pick the firm, program and phase and these rules fill in automatically. The dashboard then shows how much room you have left today and overall, your progress to the target and your trading days. Read more in the Prop firm journal.
